In response to the release of Mayor de Blasio’s OneNYC plan, Citizens’ Committee for Children released the following statement:

“A sustainable, resilient, equitable New York City is one in which children and families in every community can thrive. We applaud the Mayor’s OneNYC plan for advancing economic, environmental, and social justice for all New Yorkers. The plan seeks to create a greener, cleaner, safer city that improves health and economic outcomes for children and families; emphasizes the importance of early childhood education and community schools as key drivers of social mobility; and promotes access to neighborhood-based health and mental health services, healthy affordable foods, and parks and playgrounds. OneNYC is a roadmap designed to lift up children, families, and all of New York City and we look forward to working with the de Blasio Administration to ensure it is implemented.”
