This year marks eight decades of CCC and our 2024-2025 showcases 80 years of milestones leading up to today’s successes.

Since our founding, CCC has focused on children and families facing the greatest barriers—using data and policy analysis and community insight to drive solutions that meet real and persistent needs. What began as a unified effort to expand child care during World War II soon developed into a comprehensive vision of a future where every child is Healthy, Housed, Educated, and Safe.

This report captures CCC’s evolution and illustrates a throughline: 80 years of turning facts into action, and progress into possibility, for every New York child.

Alongside partners and supporters, we have accomplished so much throughout the decades. This past year our collaborative successes include:

Securing restorations and new investments in the City Budget for 3-K and Pre-K, special education, and outreach to undocumented families.
Inclusion of an infant and toddler child care pilot in the City Budget.
Securing funding for universal school meals across the state.
Securing investment for a four-year, statewide Housing Access Voucher Program pilot.
Prevented the inclusion of a harmful proposal to expand youth probation policies in the final State Budget.
Increased investment in the State’s EI system, including a 5% rate increase for providers.
