Want to learn more about CCC’s Keeping Track database and how it helps inform public policy and activism? Our Community Leadership Course may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Offered every Wednesday for ten weeks in the fall, the CLC focuses each week on an issue important to NYC children and families, from housing and homelessness to juvenile justice to child welfare and everything in between. The course will send you to communities across the city weekly where you’ll visit agencies and programs that serve children and families. You’ll then return to the CCC office for lunch and an overview of our data and research on that week’s topic, as well as CCC’s advocacy efforts underway to make New York City a stronger place for kids.

Here at CCC, our Keeping Track Online database is the most comprehensive source of information on New York City’s children. It is home to dozens of key indicators on child well-being and helps paint a nuanced, detailed picture of what life is like for children in each of the city’s 59 community districts.

The CLC gives you exclusive access to the researchers and data analysts who maintain the database as well as the policy experts who leverage the data to inform their advocacy efforts. Throughout the ten weeks, you, too, will become adept at understanding the data and using it to make the case for the supports and services our city’s children need and deserve.
