Statement from CCC Executive Director Jennifer March Regarding Today’s Early Education Labor Agreement

Press Releases

October 9, 2019

“Citizens’ Committee for Children applauds the progress made on salary parity with early education staff represented by Local 205 and now certified Head Start teachers represented by Local 95. We urge continued work in order to ensure that Local 215 and all non-union certified teachers benefit from parity. Collectively, 205, 95, 215 and the non-unionized workforce are the backbone of the city’s birth to five early education system. Furthermore, it is critical that nonprofits are given the resources needed to implement parity raises and that all certified teachers benefit from raises at the same time.”
