December 17, 2024

Dear Friends and Supporters of CCC,

As CCC enters a new chapter, we wish to announce the transition of Jennifer March, our dedicated Executive Director who has been with the organization for nearly two decades. Read our full May press release here. Jennifer has been a steadfast leader, guiding CCC with passion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to children, families, and communities across New York City. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping CCC’s mission and impact, and we extend our deepest gratitude for her years of service and immeasurable contributions. Jennifer will be formally stepping aside effective January 2, 2025, but has graciously agreed to remain a resource for CCC thereafter.

During this transition period, we are pleased to share that Elysia Murphy, who currently serves on CCC’s staff as Deputy Executive Director, will step into the role of Acting Executive Director while a search for a permanent Executive Director is completed. Elysia brings deep knowledge of CCC’s mission, expertise in our programs, and a commitment to fostering equity and inclusivity. We are confident that under her guidance, CCC will continue to thrive, honoring our commitment to creating positive change for children and families.

As our search for a new Executive Director moves forward, our board, staff, and supporters remain steadfast in advancing CCC’s vital work. We are excited to build on the solid foundation that Jennifer has laid and to support Elysia in leading us through this transition.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. Together, we will continue to work towards a brighter future for all of New York’s children.

Warm regards,
Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York
