Daryl Hornick-Becker, CCC’s Policy and Advocacy Associate, submitted written testimony to the New York State Joint Legislative Budget Hearing regarding education-related proposals in the FY 2021 Executive Budget.

Daryl testified that CCC was disappointed the Executive Budget did nothing to solve New York’s early childhood crisis, did not invest in pre-k special education, and continued to ignore legally-mandated funding increases for schools. The budget also proposed significant and permanent cost-shifts to New York City, including $136 million in education.
