On March 7th, Rebecca Charles and Caitlyn Passaretti, Citizens’ Committee for Children Policy and Advocacy Associates, submitted testimony to the New York City Council Committee on Youth Services Oversight Hearing on Summer 2022 Programming Readiness.

The testimony highlights the need for transparency, communication, coordination, and holistic care for the Summer 2022 Programming year. While CCC applauds city budget for baselining funding for the Summer Youth Employment Program and the increase in the number of spots, we advocate alongside the Campaign for Children for several other changes that will support youth, providers, and communities as a whole.
