On December 7, 2017, CCC testified before the New York City Council Committee on Education about diversity in New York City schools.

CCC’s testimony focused on the research showing diversity is important for closing the achievement gap and the data showing NYC’s schools are extremely segregated. While the testimony also outlined efforts underway to try to increase diversity in City schools, the testimony also recommended that much more be done.
