On Thursday, February 9th, Policy and Advocacy Associate Juan Diaz provided written testimony for the New York State Senate Finance, Assembly Ways and Means and Assembly Real Property Taxation Committees hearing that examined the current status of tax-credits supports for vulnerable families with children in New York State.

Juan testified on behalf of CCC’s support of deepening and expanding the state’s tax credits available to families that will provide New York State families with ongoing financial support and a pathway to economic mobility. Additionally, CCC supports the enhancement of the State’s minimum wage as a key strategy to maximizing the impact of tax credits such as EITC and the state’s Empire State Child Credit.
