On Wednesday April 20, 2022, CCC’s Policy and Advocacy Associate, Caitlyn Passaretti, provided oral and written testimony to the New York City Council Committee on Education’s hearing on students in foster care. This testimony highlights the need for a team to be hired that solely focus on issues facing students in foster care, specifically working to increase transparency, clarity, and efficiency for this population, and to ensure that students in foster care are provided transportation to school, which the city is legally obligated to provide.
