On Wednesday, October 19th, CCC’s Policy and Advocacy Associate Rebecca Charles provided oral and written testimony to the New York City Council Committee on Education for an oversight hearing on early childhood education programs. In her testimony, she thanked the committee members for their continued support of early childhood education providers. She urged them to continue holding the DOE accountable to paying all contracted centers what they are contractually owed by the City. Additionally, Rebecca stressed the importance of expanding child care access in the city for all families and paying providers equitably and adequately.
