Testimony & Public Comments

January 26, 2023

On Thursday, January 26th, Policy and Advocacy Associate Rebecca Charles submitted written testimony to the New York State Senate Committee on Children and Families regarding the state’s child care crisis.

However, Rebecca outlined further steps the state must take to stabilize the system and ensure accessible child care for all New York families, such as extending the child care assistance program eligibility to undocumented families statewide, allowing counties to decouple work hours from child care subsidy eligibility, and more.
