CCC testified before the New York City Council General Welfare Committee at a hunger oversight hearing on January 13, 2016. We noted that sadly, the need to address hunger has not decreased since the last hunger oversight hearing in November of 2014 as recent data show that a staggering number of New Yorkers continue to struggle with poverty, food insecurity, and hunger. CCC has submitted several recommendations to make healthy food more affordable and accessible to all New Yorkers.
