CCC testified at the New York City Youth Services Committee March 16, 2018 regarding the Fiscal Year 2019 Preliminary Budget.

CCC’s testimony urged the administration to end the budget dance regarding summer programs by restoring at least $20.35 million for at least 34,000 middle school students in the Executive Budget.  In addition, CCC urged the administration to restore $16 million for elementary after-school programs and add funding to serve more children and also to increase the rate; add funding to SYEP to address the minimum wage increase; and add $10.2 million to implement the new legislation that will increase the number of days youth can remain in Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) facilities and the age in which youth and young adults can remain in the RHY system.
