Budget Analysis & Priorities

June 7, 2014

CCC responded to the City Executive Budget for Fiscal Year 2015 with a comprehensive list of budget priorities for the Mayor and the City Council that we believe are critical to making New York City a better place for every child.

In this summary, we identify proposals from the City’s Executive Budget that will improve the lives of the City’s 1.1 million children. We also identify additional priorities that we hope to see in the Adopted Budget, including salary parity for early childhood education staff, universal school lunch, a review of all homeless shelters to address safety concerns for children, and restoring funds for 22,000 summer elementary school after-school/OST programs and food stamps at farmers’ markets
