CCC stands with the Asian American Pacific Islander community and grieves the loss of eight lives in Georgia earlier this week. We denounce these hateful acts and call attention to the impact that violence and perceived danger has on child, family and community well-being. Recent reports from Stop AAPI Hate show there were 3,800 anti-Asian racist attacks in the past year, a greater number than previously reported and disproportionately targeted against women. Now more than ever, we must demand accountability and act to combat violence, fear and hate. We stand in solidarity with our AAPI neighbors who make up a vital part of our city, our communities, and our nation.
