Elysia Murphy

Elysia Murphy works closely with the leadership team at CCC to define and meet strategic goals and respond to the ever-increasing demand for our research, civic engagement and advocacy. In this role she provides strategic oversight and coordination of public-facing initiatives aimed at raising the organization’s visibility including media relations, government outreach, and grant oversight. She also facilitates strategic operations that support the allocation of resources to develop human capital, further develop CCC’s workplace and organizational culture, and ensure that our internal policies and practices align with our mission and values. 

Elysia joined CCC in 2012 with over a decade of experience providing strategic planning, communications and government relations support to social service leaders in city government and the nonprofit sector. She worked in a variety of roles for the city’s Administration for Children’s Services, including Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Deputy Director for Communications, and Chief of Staff to the Executive Deputy Commissioner, as well as serving as the Senior Director for Marketing and Communications for Safe Horizon, a leading victims services agency in New York City. Elysia earned a BA in Communications from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
