With an extensive background in mixed-methods research, Cristina aims to bring a participatory approach to CCC’s data collection and analysis. Cristina serves as the lead coordinator and specialist on CCC’s community-based and qualitative research projects. She collaborates with team members and external partners to bring best practices in research methods to all of our data-driven work. Cristina’s research portfolio specializes in youth opportunities and children’s behavioral health.
Prior to joining CCC, Cristina worked with The Public Science Project, along with multiple nonprofits in New York City, to investigate national issues around education, policing, and surveillance and she brings this expertise to support CCC’s youth justice initiatives. She is also an experienced educator and has been lecturing in the CUNY system for nearly a decade. Cristina holds an MA and an MPhil from the City University of New York, where she is currently completing a PhD in Critical Social Psychology.
