“Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently said, “I don’t believe any New Yorker would want to choose between health care and education, and I don’t think our government should choose.”
We agree. New York should not have to choose between the health, safety, housing and education of its children — let alone tolerate massive cuts to all four. Unfortunately, the governor’s budget proposes a toxic combination of cost shifts, cuts and funding gaps that will harm children and the state’s fiscal health.”
