With the return of in-person instruction in NYC schools, join us for a presentation on the first year evaluation of Gateway Housing’s successful Attendance Matters program pilot, followed by a panel of experts discussing challenges and solutions associated with education and homelessness.

For almost two years prior to the pandemic, Gateway Housing collaborated with the City of New York and family shelter providers BronxWorks, HELP USA, Win and CAMBA on Attendance Matters, an initiative to use data, training and cross-agency collaboration to improve homeless children’s school attendance. The presentation will describe the Attendance Matters program, and share the results of an independent evaluation of the first year of the initiative, followed by an expert panel discussion.
