Learn more about our inspiring Board leaders and new Executive Director!

  • Raysa S. Rodriguez

    Executive Director

Raysa S. Rodriguez is a lifelong advocate with a strong track record championing reforms in education, housing, child welfare, and economic justice. She joined CCC as its Executive Director in March 2025 with more than two decades of experience advancing equity for children, families, and communities including expanding access to universal Pre-K for low-income preschoolers, increasing the value of housing subsidies for families to expand the availability of affordable and permanent housing, raising the lower age of juvenile delinquency with state legislation that ends the arrest and prosecution of children under 12 and elevating the need for continued progress in youth justice reforms, advocating for salary parity for the early childhood workforce, and advancing more accurate measures of economic need to inform policymaking.

Raysa assumed the top leadership position at CCC, building on her early experience as a graduate intern at CCC, and later serving as the organization’s Associate Executive Director for Policy and Advocacy. She also brings leadership experience as FPWA’s Chief Program and Policy Officer, where she oversaw policy advocacy efforts and the delivery of nonprofit supports while growing the organization’s focus on fiscal policy research, capacity building centered on people-centered and trauma-informed approaches, and impact evaluation.

As Vice President of Policy and Planning at WIN, NYC’s largest provider of family shelter and supportive housing, Raysa led efforts to improve outcomes for families experiencing housing insecurity through program performance metrics, staff training on evidence-based practices, grants management, and policy advocacy towards systems change. As United Way of New York City’s Associate Vice President for Education, she spearheaded programmatic and policy initiatives that spanned from early childhood through K-12. And, as a Senior Advisor on Children’s Issues for the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services during Mayor Bloomberg’s administration, Raysa supported strategies aimed at reducing poverty and strengthening early care and education.

Throughout her career, Raysa has focused on evidence-based solutions to advance the well-being of New York’s children. A proud product of NYC’s public school system, Raysa was born and raised in the Bronx, where she served as a public school Kindergarten teacher early in her career. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University and a Master of Science from Columbia University School of Social Work, where she is an Adjunct Professor. Raysa is a photography, basketball, and running enthusiast and resides in Queens, NY with her husband and two children.

  • Jane Blair Oberle

    Board Chair

As CCC’s Board Chair over the past two years, Jane Blair Oberle has guided efforts to strengthen governance practices and build a more inclusive committee structure. Jane led the organization’s efforts to identify and onboard a new Executive Director, ensuring its capacity to build on CCC’s legacy as an independent voice for children by producing best in class policy research and data analysis that makes the case for government action. Recognizing that every person has a unique role to play in creating positive change for children, Jane’s approach to leadership emphasizes integrity and accountability to community. Her leadership supports CCC’s continued growth in engaging organizations and individuals with different backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences in advancing its vision to ensure that every child is healthy, housed, educated, and safe.

Jane has been a committed volunteer and supporter of CCC since her participation in the Community Leadership Course in 2017. After joining the Board of Directors in 2019, she quickly moved into a leadership role as Vice President for Development. Jane holds a BA from Stanford and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. After graduating from business school, Jane spent over a decade in the fashion industry. Prior to joining the CCC board, Jane was a Board member and volunteer at Bottomless Closet, where she mentored, coached, and outfitted her clients.

  • Lauren Jenkins Chung

    Board President

Lauren Jenkins Chung has been a valued member of the CCC community since she took the Community Leadership Course in 2020. A nonprofit management professional who has worked and been a volunteer leader in New York City nonprofits for the last 19 years, Lauren brings to the organization a wealth of experience leading the strategic development and innovation of mission driven organizations. Lauren joined CCC’s Board of Directors in 2021 and took on a leadership position as Vice President of Civic Engagement that same year. In 2024, Lauren stepped into the role of Board President to support efforts underway to expand leadership capacity and nonprofit management expertise within the board.

Lauren currently serves as incoming Executive Director and outgoing Chief Advancement and Operations Officer at Episcopal Charities where she has overseen funding and support to approximately 100 non-sectarian charitable organizations in New York City and the Hudson Valley with a focus on food access, youth education, shelter and immigration and intervention and prevention. She holds a BA from the University of Florida and an MPA in Public and Nonprofit Management from NYU’s Wagner School.
