Alice Bufkin, CCC’s Director of Policy for Child and Adolescent Health, digitally testified at a joint Senate/Assembly hearing on the disparate impact of the COVID-19 crisis on NYC communities of color
Alice testified that the crisis has underscored how systemic racial inequities have placed communities of color at greater risk of poverty, overcrowded housing, and inadequate healthcare access, which has itself exacerbated the impacts of COVID-19
CCC’s testimony provides recommendations for how the State can combat the COVID-19 crisis and ensure all children are healthy, housed, educated, and safe.
