CCC’s New York State Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Budget One-Pagers

Budget Analysis & Priorities

March 7, 2013

CCC developed a set of one-pagers to help us respond to the New York State Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Executive Budget proposals.

These one-pagers provide more information about our concerns about the budget and our recommendations.  There are 4 one –pagers and they are on:

1) CCC’s concerns about the Governor’s proposal to consolidate 89 public health programs into 6 block grants and cut the funding by $40 million.

2) CCC’s concerns about proposed modifications to the Early Intervention program including the requirement for EI providers to be in health insurance networks and the proposal to have a screening for children to reduce the number of evaluations.

3) CCC’s concerns about the continued decrease in state funding for Runaway and Homeless Youth services.

4) The Campaign for Tomorrow’s Work Force (which CCC is a member of) proposals to address the transition to a new High School Equivalency test in January 2014.

You can read all four one-pagers here.
