CCC testified before the New York City Council Committee on Education at a hearing on March 23, 2018 regarding the Fiscal Year 2019 Preliminary Budget.

CCC supported Preliminary Budget proposals aimed at reducing bullying in schools and expanding 3K for All programming more quickly.

CCC urged the administration to go further in the upcoming Executive Budget by maintain funding for community schools; strengthening services and support for homeless school children (which includes restoring and baselining $10.3 million for social workers to help homeless children); expanding school busing for foster children; and creating salary parity for early childhood educators.
