Alice Bufkin, CCC’s Director of Policy for Child and Adolescent Health, testified on May 23 in front of the New York City Council Committee on Finance regarding Mayor de Blasio’s 2020 Executive Budget.

In her testimony, Alice applauded the Mayor for including some important items in his proposed budget such as funding for Census 2020 community outreach.

However, Alice told the committee that CCC was disappointed in the Mayor’s proposed cuts or lack of investment to important programs such as Breakfast in the Classrooms, transportation for foster students and summer programming for middle school students.
