CCC is an active member of New York Counts 2020, a statewide coalition working to ensure a fair and accurate count in the 2020 Census. In November 2018,  CCC hosted a civic engagement workshop on this topic to deepen the understanding among our volunteers about what the Decennial Census survey is and why it’s important for our work to ensure the well-being of children, families and communities in New York City.  The presentation also includes information about what NYC communities are vulnerable to an undercount, why it is important that we encourage families to participate, and about the efforts underway to support the campaign’s efforts to educate, mobilize and educate in advance of the Census count in 2020.
